Professional Background
Sthea Mason-Kapoor brings extensive personal and professional cross-cultural experience in the US and abroad. She has lived and worked in India, Central America, and the Middle East. Her professional background has been in non-profit and educational organizations focusing on labor and immigration issues. Sthea completed an MA degree in Intercultural Service, Leadership and Management from School for International Training and a 40-hour course in Social Justice Mediation in 2007. She is a listener and a calming presence. Sthea is a TMCA Credentialed Mediator and an intern mediator at the Austin Dispute Resolution Center (DRC) and as such encourages community use of all the excellent DRC mediation services available in Central Texas at low cost. For those who find DRC mediation impractical, Sthea provides mediation services in Williamson County and surrounding areas on a pay-what-you-can basis.
